Wool Dryer Balls With Apple Cinnamon Fragrance Oil
Our Social Media is buzzing this week with talk of using VINEVIDA fragrance oils on wool dryer balls. People are asking us, “How much fragrance oil should I use on my wool dryer balls”?
The answer to that is … not much.
You need very little Apple Cinnamon fragrance oil, to get a decent scent in your dried laundry. You would simply add a few drops to the wool dryer balls, and let them dry BEFORE putting them in with your washing, it is an oil after all, and could stain.
However, I much prefer to mix mine with a high-proof alcohol and a dispersant, you can even use a drop or two of Castile soap as a dispersant and pop it in a spray bottle. This way, it disperses the fragrance oil, you lose no fragrance and it dries much faster.
Laundry fragrances would fall in IFRA category 12 which carries no restrictions on the amount you use, but don’t go mad. For laundry detergents that will sit on your skin in category 10a - it is just 5.15%, bear this in mind before you go heavy-handed with it.

Scented Note Paper and Cards with Apple Cinnamon Fragrance Oil
Why make scented note paper and cards laced with fragrant oils like Apple Cinnamon fragrance oil? Why wouldn’t you?
It adds an extra dimension to your paper offering be it, a letter birthday card, or a holiday-themed card. If you have a child away at college it’s perfect to send those extra memories of home. The scent is the strongest sense that stimulates our memories. Send the kids some extra love from home or let Grandma know you are thinking about her famous Apple Pie and miss her.
Whenever I send my scented note paper or cards, I always get great feedback on how surprising and welcome it was. I also get asked where I bought it from, it always seems appropriate to send a few, as a gift, in response.

Apple Cinnamon Fragrance Oil in IFRA category 12 has no safety dilution restrictions.
You will need:
- Note paper and envelopes
- Cards of your choice
- Cotton Wool
- A tightly lidded plastic box to hold all of your cards and paper, with room at the sides.
If You Intend To Make Packs For Holiday Gifting:
- Labels
- Air-tight sealing bags
- Or Vac Sealer and bags.
Ingredients:
- Apple Cinnamon Fragrance Oil (how much depends on the amount of paper or cards you are scenting)
Method:
- Place your cards and note paper in the plastic box neatly, don’t use rubber bands as they may mark the paper and you want some airflow so the scent can penetrate the paper.
- If you have a lot of cards or paper it might be worth doing a second box.
- Drop a few drops of Apple Cinnamon Fragrance Oil on your cotton wool and place it right at the sides and corners of the box where it will NOT touch the papers or cards. If it does, you risk getting oil stains on your stationery.
- Carefully place the lid and pop it out of the way for at least a week.
- Every second day, rearrange the papers and cards, so they end up scented evenly.
- If you feel after a week it needs longer, refresh the Apple Cinnamon Fragrance Oil and leave for a little longer. (Also consider, there may be too much in your box and to do another box).
- Store in the box with the cotton wool to keep things highly scented. Refresh periodically.
- Take out what you need, as and when you need it.
- This process allows you to have several different boxes with individually scented papers/cards at a time too.
Packaging For Gifting:
- Package the note paper or cards in packs of 3, 5, 8, or 10 in air-tight sealing bags, heat sealing bags or you can even vacuum seal them for extra freshness.
- Label them clearly, with instructions for use. (Even though it is obvious).
How to Use:
- Remove from the box or packets and write in the normal way.
- Send some fragrant joy across the miles!
